Pattern matching and detailing goes even further than you may think.

When fabric walling it is very important to get even the warp and the weft straight and level. You may not have a pattern to consider or think that a weave is important but when you stand back and look at an entire wall if the weft is not level it will be very noticeable.

Larger patterns can sometimes be even harder to get matched as different parts of a cloth can stretch more or less depending on the tension of a loom or a different makers hand. This is particularly relevant when working with custom weaves or embroidered fabric.
